I have worked out how to add all of my regular reads into my links ..... And how to take out a line. I'll be able to launch satellites into space before the weekend!
My other very impressive achievement today is getting H to sleep this afternoon. Our little man who is 10 months old has just started having sleep issues. Prior to Christmas Eve he slept like an angel BUT then he worked out he could sit or even worse, stand up in the cot. So now "Mr Independence" hasn't got time to sleep. The world and all it has to offer is calling him and he will not lie down! At this very moment though, exhaustion has set in and he is asleep ... Which is very impressive as his Daddy is in the backyard building a fence and pergola just a few metres from his window.
I do love being a Mummy, but I also really love these precious moments of "me time". I sometimes wonder what I used to do with my time before I was a Mummy and even before I was a wife. If only I could chat to schoolgirls about not wasting time and enjoy every little moment, I'm sure I could make my mark on teenage pregnancy statistics. I'm fairly certain most women probably think the same thing. I just need to keep all of these changes that come with being a Mummy in perspective!!
P.S. By the way, I decided to call this blog "A sense of perspective" as my horoscope for the year said that my most important lesson for 2006 was to gain "a sense of perspective". Not bad advice for a dreamy Libran!!

Learning, learning, learning
I have been sitting here trying to work out how to add links to my blog and I swear I read it a few times but it didn't sink in. Anyway I am off and running now ... I think.
I would love for this blog to evolve into something quite snazzy with a few regular visitors. Some of the ones I read are fabulous. I wonder how much time and money they invest in them to get like that. Time and money are two things that I am short of these days. I just hope I can work this all out before I lose interest. I have always had a very short attention span when it comes to learning new skills. If I get the feeling that I am not going to be brilliant at the skill, I tend to just fade my attention away. For example, hubby bought me an art set including some canvases and paint and brushes about two years ago as I mentioned that I would like to give it a go. I am yet to try as I am petrified that I won't be good at it. Silly isn't it? I should at least have a go, shouldn't I? Maybe I will add that to my mental list of New Year's Resolutions, I'll let you know!

Well here we go!
I have been wanting to do this for ages and I have always talked myself out of it. I suppose like everybody else you wonder what on earth you have to say. But I started to really listen to what I was talking about to other people and after reading heaps of other blogs, I decided to take the plunge. Surely my thoughts are worthy of noting, just like everyone else's.
I always wanted to write a book when I was a kid then life got in the way. It always had an air of mystery about it. And I really liked the idea of keeping my own hours! I also had visions of sitting up on some variety chat show blabbing on about my new book and signing books at groovy little bookshops around the world. I have a friend Andrew who lives in the US and he always asks me how my book is going. I cringe at my own big mouth every time he mentions it. Strange how your priorities change, isn't it? I think that is how most people lose sight of themselves.
